1700 and 5B00 — the ink absorber

Every time the printer cleans its own nozzles, waste ink goes into an internal sponge called the ink absorber. 1700 means that sponge is nearly full, which is a warning, and the printer normally carries on working. 5B00 means it's full and the printer has stopped. That's a physical part needing replacement, not a software error. Reset tools are all over the internet, but clearing the counter doesn't empty the sponge, and a saturated one can eventually leak ink inside the machine. On an older, cheaper printer the repair often costs more than a replacement, which is worth knowing before you pay for a diagnosis.
